Miles Arnott currently serves on the Telford Borough Council. As a council member, Miles is the chair of the Public Safety Committee working closely with the police and fire departments to ensure that they have the resources they need to carry out their jobs and keep residents safe.
For 20 years, Miles served as the Executive Director of Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope Pennsylvania. During his time as director, he dedicated his time to natural resource management, land stewardship, ecological restoration and environmental education. He has worked in partnership with many state agencies including the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the PA Department of Environmental Protection, the PA Department of Agriculture, and the PA Extension Agency.
Miles is a dedicated member of the community and has donated his time to a number of community organizations. Miles and his wife, Sheila, have been married for 27 years and have three beautiful children — Sophia, Lila and Cason. They are members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Telford. Miles earned a Bachelor of Science dual degree in Biology and Environmental Studies at East Stroudsburg University and went on to earn his Master of Science degree in Botany from Tulane University.
This morning I had the honor of attending a Memorial Day ceremony at VFW post 5308 in Telford. The playing of Taps and placing of the wreath was moving beyond beyond words. Thank you Commander Ron Joyce for all you do for our veterans in the community.
